As a testament to how the BFGoodrich Tires g-Force T/A® racing tire dramatically enhanced the quality of USAR Hooters Pro Cup racing by improving lap times and shattering track records, BFGoodrich Tires driver, Benny Gordon of Dubois, Pa., took home his second USAR Hooters Pro Cup Championship on Nov. 2. Gordon capped off an impressive series-high six-win season, where he completed every lap - all 2,789 of them, on BFGoodrich g-Force T/A racing tires.

"That's also testament to all the guys that work on these cars," said Gordon, who joined Bobby Gill and Clay Rogers as the only drivers to win multiple USAR Hooters Pro Cup titles. "We've had very few mechanical failures, our tire program worked great, and we've been able to stay out of accidents. The guys that win races and titles do that."

Gordon, who captured his first USAR Hooters Pro Cup title in 2005, admits that the chase for his second USAR Hooters Pro Cup title was not without a few bumps. He lost a primary sponsor and team owner during the unprecedented run, but somehow managed to keep it all together.

"Basically, I'm the quarterback of this team, and people rally around the quarterback," said Gordon. "If I'm moping around and don't have that enthusiasm that a team needs, then the rest of the team follows. Whether I am up or down, I had to keep that fire going and keep everybody pumped up. When that is going on, everybody works harder. And that's how we've been able to keep this team going."

Gordon finished the season with six wins, 11 top-five finishes, and 12 top-ten finishes. In addition, he led a series-high 898 laps, led 12 of the 13 races in which he competed and ended the season with an average finish of 3.15.
